So basically I'm watching Dragon Ball Z with my boyfriend so by watching I mean sometimes seeing in my peripheral vision and hearing it but not paying attention. But I get the gist of the situations. And of course my favorite is Gohan. We are watching him grow up. But as I'm watching, I'm thinking...
WHY DO THEY KEEP PUTTING THIS LITTLE BOY -->

He's literally 3 apples tall. Why TF is anyone fighting him and why are all the adults in his life treating him like he chose to be a fighter like all of them. IT'S NOT HIS FAULT HIS DAD IS GOKU!!!
The Namek saga?? HE'S SO YOUNG THIS ISN'T FAIR.
This outfit era makes me fucking sick and ill. He's just a little boy in armor too big for him. He's trying so hard to be what his environment is telling him not only he should be but he IS. It's so big on him. The bowl cut too, something so young kid coded. HE'S JUST A BOY.
Why does no one listen to Chichi? She's right you know. I honestly don't care if the world is ending. If the world is ending I think that's the perfect time to be WITH my son and not sending my son off to fight with the grown up fighters who have died and came back several times and trained in crazy alternate dimensions and stuff.
This is just so fucked up. The thing is with this particular outfit and haircut it feels like it's on purpose. And the little Namek kid that follows him around for a while. It feels like the show is trying to point out, "hey this is actually hard for Gohan. He's just a kid." But then the narrative and everyone around him goes back to treating him not only like an adult but like one of THE MOST IMPORTANT ADULTS of all time. Which cannot be good for a kid.
It just makes me so sad :( It's OK Gohan I'll save you from this fucked up life you live...
